Who Is Able To Perform

The news just hit you. It feels like a bad dream.

The words sound so unreal… Everything seems like from a distance. Your thoughts already come up with all kinds of solutions and you want to know ‘why’ this is happening to you. “Why me?” you ask.

When life is good and everything is going according to our plans we tend to forget just how blessed we are. On the other side, when tough times and trials strike we are either in danger of forsaking our faith in God or we are longing to seek Him even the more — we become bitter or better, our faith either withers or becomes stronger.

Smack! He walked out on you and left you with nothing but debt and your children.
“I can’t stand this anymore,” he said, and that he would be back some day later when things changed.
When things changed?

No matter if your husband just left you or if he already filed for divorce; if you are fighting against infertility or fighting for your child to come back home; if your baby’s heartbeat stopped inside or outside your womb — whatever the hardship you are facing is, you do need someone who is able to heal your broken heart!

No matter if it is a minor surgery or a major operation you are facing; if you are longing to have some function/s of your body back to normal or if you are fighting against death — whatever the sickness or disease is, you do need someone who is able to heal your body!

It’s so easy, so tempting to look for help in all the wrong places, isn’t it? Do you know that battle inside between wanting to stay in complete control of the situation and remaining still and knowing that He is God? You know that urge to find out the ‘Why’ and ‘How to fix it’ kinda thing — of wanting answers and wanting them now?

We ask our parents or our husbands, we try to find the solutions to our problems online or inside the church. But, we do not only need someone who has been there or gone through it but someone who is there when parents, pastors, godly mentors are not or no longer around. One who is there all the time — past, present, future.

God is the only One who is able! He can heal your broken heart and your sick body. He will not only fight the battle in court with but for you. He is the One who restores relationships. He knows all the days of your life because they were already written in His Book when there wasn’t one of them yet! (Psalm 139:16)
