Psalm Singing

Psalmody is so beautiful! Does your church sing psalms during worship? I’m not convinced in singing Psalms exclusively but I find it sad that many churches are no longer making them a part of their worship services.

Traditional Style

I just love the Psalms. ❤ In my post Traditions I mentioned that I want to make psalm singing a habit in 2018. The idea started when I came across The Book of Psalms for Worship. I didn’t buy the book but bought the app instead to learn the melodies and words of it. Later on, I stumbled across the 1650 Psalter which is available as a free app. Here is a good 1650 website that offers the Psalter, Audio and Study Notes. There are more Psalters available with a variety of more or less well known tunes and shorter or longer verses.

Modern Versions

The Lord’s My Shepherd (Psalm 23)

Give thanks to the LORD (Psalm 105)

How about you? Do you enjoy to read the Psalms? How about using them during prayer time or singing them? Do you have a favorite one, maybe even memorized it?
