Mondays

Have you ever had one of those Mondays?

For today I had planned a follow up on Keepers At Home but I didn’t get to write it at all last week. It has been such a busy week and then we’ve had a special guest over for the weekend. It was her birthday and she happened to be alone that day so we invited her over. Another couple joined us for the celebration and helped us eat the peacan pie in the afternoon and the pizza for dinner 🙂 What followed was a long night of talk, laughter and prayer.

Following this late night, it’s one of those Mondays, you know, when you just want to stay in your PJs all day, curl up on the couch and read a good book but daily work is waiting for you… Then, what do you do? How do you face the day without turning grumpy?

“When we view managing our home as drudgery, it becomes just that — drudgery.”

This is from the book The Fruit Of Her Hands by Nancy Wilson which I will talk about shortly. Reading it has helped me very much in seeing the job of a homemaker in a Christian perspective. I will give you more details in my next post. So, please, stay tuned.
