Question — Why Did God Make Woman

And the LORD God said,
“It is not good that man should be alone;
I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

Genesis 2:18

LORD Jesus, we praise You for Your Word and that we can find unshakeableTruth. Please guide us and keep us close to Yourself whenever we tend to compromise Your Will. Enable us to seek You and to find You and to love You with all of our heart. Direct our steps and help us to live a life that is pleasing to You — one that glorifies You. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.

Did you ever ask yourself why God has made you? What was the reason that made God decide to make a helper for man?

God said that it isn’t good for man to be alone. So He made a helper (help meet) for him. None of the animals would do. No, man was in need of a helper comparable to him.

Woman came from man and she was created for the man — not the other way around (1 Corinthians 11:8-9). I know, yes, this immediately raises flags! And some will emphasize that we—man and woman—were created equally. I’ll come back to that in another day’s post in the near future.

Today I want you to dwell on this thought: Your man was alone, but God didn’t want him to stay alone, and so He made you especially for this man. Just as no other could ever fill the void of your heart except for Christ the LORD, so no other woman could ever be what you are to your man.
