Are You Ready?

Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
“The LORD be magnified!”

Psalm 40:16

LORD Jesus, we praise Your great name for it is in Your name and through Your word that things are made possible. Enable us, O God we pray, to glorify Your name. Help us to seek You, rejoice and be glad in You, and to say continually, “The LORD be magnified!” In Jesus’ holy name we pray. Amen.

Are you looking ahead to winter? If not, are you working on getting ready for it? You should. Don’t postpone it too long.

Our friends had a really rough time last winter. Throughout the cold months they lived with minimum heating. Getting up and going in the mornings was tough. They felt sorry for their three children who had to leave early and come back home to a house not warmed up sufficiently.

Faith is not for Sunday only! Christians need to be on guard! We have to continually study the Word of God, keep our eyes on Jesus, and magnify the LORD.

We cannot with peace go to the House of the LORD on Sunday while living like unbelievers all the week long. Just as much as we cannot live like worldly people Monday to Saturday and then expect to — ‘Voila!’ — transform into Saints on Sunday morning.

Are you ready for the LORD’s Day?
