that they admonish the young women
to love their husbands,
to love their children,
Titus 2:4
LORD Jesus, we praise You for Your counsel is true and helpful. Forgive us, O God we pray, that we so often look everywhere else but into Your Word for wisdom. Help us that we will not despise wisdom and instruction. Open our eyes, ears, minds, and hearts to seek Your will above all and let us stay focused on what is right in Your eyes. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.
In yesterday’s post I asked you what you have learned about marriage that you could pass on to your daughter or another young woman within your Christian circle. Today we are talking about the love for children. If you are a mother, what is it that you have learned about raising children? What good advice on how to love our children can you pass on to the younger generation?

What are some of the things that the older women could teach the younger women about loving their children? Forget about telling them about the best and safest child car seat there is on the market. Well, do share your advice if they are asking you for it, of course. This blog post is about something else, though.
You see, in this digital age the young women of today are having access to all sorts of information about equipment and food. What they are in need of, though, perhaps now more than ever before, is well biblical rooted advice on how to love their children. I’m not talking about pointing them only to one verse or another.
Think of some of the opinions, rights, and teachings of today that are so contrary and hostile to God’s Word. Rearing godly children in this world has become a bigger challenge than it has ever been before. Do not think, though, that (because of this) you could no longer help the young mothers. Fact is, they need your encouraging words to press on in this time and age. Yes, there are still those among them who long for your motherly advice and are grateful for it.
What are some of the things you could share with others about having and raising your own children?
DO
What tips do you have concerning reading aloud, praying with the younger and older children alike, doing homework together, standing firm when others try to interfere, learning to seek God’s help while things are really tough?
Spend some quality time with a young woman and share God’s wisdom with her today.
