The Heartbeat in the Home — A Vital Force

And the LORD God said,
“It is not good that man should be alone;
I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

Genesis 2:18

LORD Jesus we praise You for building our home and for watching over it. Forgive us, O LORD we pray, whenever we do not submit to Your Will. Open our eyes and let us see what it is that we could do, and reveal to us the things we should do inside of our home. Enable us to live our life so that it is pleasing to You, and guide us in our role so that we may walk according to Your Word. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.

Do you believe that you are making a difference in your man’s life? Why, or why not?

There are many examples, good and bad ones, throughout the Bible that tell us that a wife has great influence on her husband. She does, indeed, make a major difference, and he will listen to her in one way or another.

The cleaning of his home and the cooking of his favorite food might play a big part in your man’s life, but that is not all there is to it. He could hire a cleaner and/or a cook anytime. Well, depending on the amount of money he is making, and willing to spend, he could get himself more or less decent experts to get the jobs done around the house. Surely this would only help him in part.

The Heartbeat in the Home — A Vital Force

I was SO touched a few weeks ago about an email my friend’s widow has sent to us. That time there was a lot going on in his life. All of the sudden he had to deal with many issues regarding his home. “These are the times I really miss her,” he wrote. She would have sent him off to his study and told him not to worry, and she would have dealt with the looking after the household. I believed him the moment I read his email. In fact, I could literally see my friend how she would have managed all that was going on that time.

Yes, your man is the head of the home, and you ought to be subject to your own husband in everything. Yet, you are the heart of the home — a vital force that needs to be right there to help him.

Your husband needs you. Think of ways you can help him today.
