Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee:
and let such as love thy salvation say continually,
Let God be magnified.
LORD Jesus we praise You for You are to be magnified. You are the Creator and Savior, and You are above all of our situations. Forgive us, O God we pray, whenever we want to go our own way. Lead us, open our eyes, and let us see Your Promises. Let us praise Your Works and declare Your mighty acts to one another. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.
A few more days and we will finish reading through the prophets and the Old Testament. Today and tomorrow we are in the Book of Haggai. It’s a very short book, only two chapters in it, but its message is so important. Beside rebuilding of the temple it focuses on putting God first. Let God be magnified!
Consider Your Way and Obey
Thus says the LORD of hosts:
“Consider your ways!
Go up to the mountains
and bring wood
and build the temple,
that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,”
says the LORD.
Listen to God’s Word
After many years spent in captivity and having faced much hardship, the people were back in the promised land, but the blessing was missing. Why? They did not harken unto the voice of the LORD, but they disobeyed Him; and so they received the curse instead of the blessing (Deuteronomy 11:26-28)
Consider Your Way
By diligently studying God’s Word we will find out more about the good way and the bad way. First of all, we need to listen to God’s Word. Then we need to consider the way. In other words, we need to take to heart what God is telling us to do, and then obey Him. God takes pleasure in our obedience.
Let Him be Glorified
To obey God’s Voice pleases God, and, most of all, He will be glorified by our obedience. Does His Will count in our life? Do we say that He is worthy of our praise? God forbid that we should ever neglect to take to heart what He tells us to do. God takes pleasure in our obedience, and our obedience glorifies Him.
Listen to the LORD. Consider what He says. Glorify Him today.
