Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You.
Psalm 119:11
LORD Jesus we praise You for You are the Word who has become flesh and who has dwelt among us. All people, all places, all things are made through You and for You. You are the One who was and is and always will be before and above all; and all things consist in You. Hallelujah. Guide us in our studying and reading of our Bible, and help us, O God we ask, to put Your Word into our hearts that we may not sin against You. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.
In Monday’s post I mentioned that I would share a little more about memorizing Scripture. In this post I will only list a few resources (no review, just brief comments in this post), but I hope you will find one or the other source that will encourage you, keep you going, and help you to succeed in memorizing a good selection of verses of the Bible.
It is crucial to hide God’s Word in our heart. One of the reasons being: so that we may not sin against our LORD. More importantly, of course, to know and to remember the Truth — the Truth that will set us free. How else, if not through the Logos (the Word) will we know what sin is, how destructive it is, and how to deal with it?
