Feed On His Faithfulness

Trust in the LORD, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.

(Psalm 37:3)

LORD Jesus, we praise You, for we can trust in You to work things out for our good. Forgive us, O God we pray, whenever we are fearful because things do not work out the way we wanted them to work. Open our eyes, precious LORD, to see Your mighty Hand, Your Power, and Your Faithfulness in our life. Let us not become fearful of losing any of our comfort, but help us to be content with the portion that You have provided for us. Guide us in Your Word, and give us patience to wait for Your Counsel. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.

During last Sunday’s sermon, the preacher mentioned that,

‘When God says something, it will happen – no matter how long it takes.’

What is it that you desire at the moment? Do you dream big? Are you hoping for something to become a reality in your life? Who are you sharing your wishes with? Do you have the patience to wait until they become true? Will you be pleased if things turn out a little different than what you had in mind?

When we moved to Ireland thirteen years ago, we came with the intention to start a specific ministry here. Now, years later, we have not even accomplished one step toward it. Did we fail? Could it be that it was our own heart’s desire but God never planned for us to start this ministry?

I do not know. All I can tell you is that it would require a miracle.

There was something else the pastor said on Sunday. Oh, it was so profound. God used him and spoke so clearly to me. He said to let go of the words, ‘I can do it.’ And the words that followed still echo in thoughts,

‘You cannot do it. Only God can.’

Waiting on God to move can be so hard to do, right? ‘Does He know? Did He hear my prayer? Should I not help Him with anything?’

Even while things are not looking so good, we need to

1 Trust in the LORD
2 Stay Right Where We Are
3 Seek His Counsel

How can we wait on Him whenever we are in fear that matters will go from bad to worse? That is what our next blog post will be about. Today I want you to recall times when God moved in your life and worked out things for you. God is good!

Feed on God’s Faithfulness today.
