What Is Your Plan For 2024?

And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets,
He expounded to them in all the Scriptures
the things concerning Himself.

(Luke 24:27)

LORD Jesus, we praise You, for You are the Word who came down from heaven and lived with us and died for us and made the Way for us to get to heaven. Forgive us, O God, we pray, whenever we are so busy with other things that we should forget to sit down at Your feet to be still and to know that You are God. Protect our hearts against all that is coming in this Christmas season – all that keeps our fleshly senses occupied and our minds distracted from reading, singing, praying, and believing Your Word. Enable us to get a grasp of what Christmas is truly about. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Years back, when Stefan and I were only dating, we wrote letters to each other. Once we were at work (we worked at the same DIY store), we fiddled each letter through a small opening of the other one’s locker. It was always SO exciting to find a love note inside my locker and to read it as soon as I could.

I wish we as Christians would have the same mindset about running to our closed Bibles, opening them, and reading what God has written to us…

Today’s verse says that Jesus, expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

Have you set the goal to study the Scriptures in 2024? How do you plan to accomplish this?

The French writer, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, said that,

A goal without a plan is just a wish.

Let me ask you, “Do you have a plan for reading your Bible during 2024?” If not, please do come back next week. We will talk more about a Bible reading plan in the follow up blog post.

Open your Bible and read God’s Word today.
