Reading and Praying God’s Word

Hear my prayer, O LORD,
Give ear to my supplications!
In Your faithfulness answer me,
And in Your righteousness.

(Psalm 143:1)

LORD Jesus, we praise You, for You are the Master Teacher. Forgive us, O God we pray, whenever we fail to take the time to be still and know that You are God. Guide us in our study of Your Word. Help us to be still to hear Your Voice, the Voice of the great Shepherd. Enable us to come before our heavenly Father in prayer, believing that what He has promised, He is also able to perform. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.

We are almost halfway into and through 2024. Can you believe that? Time flies, and it seems to fly even quicker the older we get.

Let’s do a check on our study of God’s Word. Throughout the year, we have to continually ask ourselves how our Bible reading is coming along. Are we taking the time to sit down every day to hear what God is telling us through His Word? Or are we missing out on our Bible study this year? If so, what are the reasons for our neglect?

(In need of some help for your Bible reading time? Please read my post, Near to God – Reading His Word in 2024 and/or check out The Bible page, please. Thank you.)

Let’s talk about prayer. Do we daily come before our God in prayer? Is He first in our life? Or are there too other many things and people that have found a way to keep us too busy to pray?

Who do we consult in times of trouble? Do we want to know what God’s Word says about a certain issue in our life? Or do we rather want to search online for an answer? Do we seek first what God is telling us to do? Why or why not?

Have a plan. Read and pray God’s Word today.
