This blog came into existence back in 2012. That time its main focus had been on home schooling. It was called by a different domain name and it was Mirjam Fels who wrote the posts for it.
Due to some unfortunate circumstances the website was shut down for a while. It reopened in 2017 under its new name and address.
This picture shows a bookmark I’ve received from my grandparents. It was inside the Konfirmationsgeschenk (confirmation present), a German Gesangbuch (hymnal), which they had bought for me. I don’t have the hymnal any longer but I have kept this bookmark like a treasure. It’s in my Bible. During one particular week it, not so much the bookmark but the verse found on it, seemed to demand more of my attention and that’s when the name for this blog was settled.
He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,
and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
(Romans 4:20-21 NKJV)
As Christian homemakers we will face many issues and hardships throughout life. Some of us might have to deal with more problems while others seem to manage most of their troubles with ease. Still, there are situations in life when we have come to the end of our rope – when hardships like abuse, divorce and other things strike. Then what? If we will come to grips then that it isn’t our own effort that will get us through it but it is because He is able to perform even though our strength is failing.
Its Categories & Topics
Some categories of the blog remained the same, e.g. Christian Life, Home Education, Homemaking and Writing, while Relationships and Wednesday Wisdom were added to it.
